The first round of the Award, 2019

Establishment of the International Public Health Award by Jorjani Intl Health Institute, Inc. coincided with the success of Iran in trachoma control and the presentation of the trachoma control certificate by the representative of the World Health Organization to the Iranian Health officials. This provided an opportunity for the application of the six Award areas on a smaller scale to the trachoma combat. The event was organized as a part of Shams Ophthalmology and Ophthalmic Sciences Festival that are supported and hosted by the Professor Mohammad Gholi Shams Foundation and Farabi Eye Hospital. (Shams Ophthalmology and Ophthalmic Sciences Festival is held every year with the aim of identifying the honors and competencies of the Ophthalmology and Ophthalmic Sciences of Iran at Farabi Eye Hospital in Tehran. The 11th round of this festival was held on the 21th of March 2019.)
